Discipline:   Operator Training
Level: Basic
Instructors: Jimmy Clary, Alan Royer

Upcoming Sessions

Description

Duration

5 Days

BRISBANE SESSION

DESIGNED FOR

Plant Operators, Maintainers, Supervisors and other non-engineering personnel requiring a broad introduction to Gas Processing, including CSM (Coal Seam Methane) and LNG.

YOU WILL LEARN

  • About the effects of produced fluid compositions on facility design and operation
  • How to determine the water vapor content of produced natural gas and CSM
  • About various gas conditioning processes for meeting specifications on Sales Gas or Residue Gas Feed to LNG Facilities
  • How to recognize problems and dangers of hydrate formation, how to prevent hydrates
  • About the recovery, stabilization and disposition of Natural Gas Liquids (NGL)

ABOUT THE COURSE

This course will provide the basic knowledge required for understanding processes and operating issues in Gas Processing Facilities, including LNG. It is designed to improve the technical communication between operators and engineers as you develop an in-depth understanding of process operations.

COURSE CONTENT

  • Produced Hydrocarbon Fluids, both Conventional and CSM (Coal Seam Methane)
  • Process Drawings
  • Overview of Gas Conditioning and Processing Operations
  • Basic Physical Principles and Hydrocarbon Phase Behavior
  • Mechanical Refrigeration Systems, including Cascade Refrigeration Systems
  • Hydrate Inhibition (MEG, MeOH) and Gas Dehydration (TEG, Mole Sieve)
  • NGL Recovery and Stabilization / Fractionation
  • Introduction to Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Processes

Operator Training is available through in-house courses also. We can come to your site and customize the materials to meet your needs and the needs of your crew.
