Courses providing Basic Application and Skilled Application competencies that also typically include cross-discipline competencies as well. The Specialized level assumes that the participant has sound Foundation skills in at least one of the primary disciplines relevant to the course content.

The Intermediate level assumes the participant has the Foundation skills in that discipline from a combination of Foundation-level courses and on-the-job experience. Awareness competencies may be quickly reviewed in the course, but are not rigorously taught.
