Awareness competencies may be quickly reviewed in the course, but are not rigorously taught.

Courses providing Basic Application (along with Awareness) competencies and normally intended as the starting point for one that plans to be a practitioner in that discipline.  The Foundation level is also used as cross-training courses for those that desire a deeper understanding of fundamentals than can be obtained in a Basic course.
