Oil & Gas Consultants International started out as an oil and gas consulting firm in Texas in 1963. In that same year, OGCI delivered its first petroleum technology short course. In 1965, the office moved to Oklahoma. Mr. Thomas Allen remained as a principal and was joined by Alan Roberts.
By virtue of their vision and desire to improve the industry, these two men founded what is now one of the world’s largest commercial petroleum training companies in OGCI. Mr. Roberts and Mr. Allen positioned OGCI as the premier oil and gas training company by launching its first course, Production Operations 1. With the passing of Mr. Allen in 1989 and Mr. Roberts in 1998, it has become apparent that they were two true pioneers in the application of well completion, workover and stimulation technology. Since the company’s inception, through the training programs of OGCI and now through the PetroSkills alliance, thousands of weeks of training have been provided around the world to industry professionals.
Today PetroSkills is the leader for oil and gas training with more than 1000 public and in-house sessions each year, 200 plus instructors and 280,000 participants trained throughout the world. Through the PetroSkills training alliance, we are providing competency-based training tailored to the needs of the industry and endorsed by industry leaders to improve the efficiency of the industry professional. When you attend a PetroSkills program, you can be sure that it will fit into your overall career development program, and will be the best training available.
