PetroSkills Opens Houston Area Conference Center
PetroSkills is pleased to announce the opening of its new 32,500 square foot Conference Center in Katy, Texas. The grand opening was held the night of January 14th, with PetroSkills Alliance Board Members and a host of guests from around the world who were attending the 8th annual PS conclave in Houston. The brand new state of the art facility has 11 spacious meeting rooms equipped with the latest technology, an executive board room, spacious lobby for participants to mingle and interact, a refreshment area, and a garden area for participants to relax in while on break. For more information, contact Donna England at 832-426-1200. The power behind PetroSkills is the alliance itself. Member company subject matter experts direct and maintain detailed competency maps for each petroleum discipline, resulting in an operator’s "shared viewpoint" of the skills required to perform at different levels within each field. PetroSkills’ training courses and work experiences are then developed to deliver the competencies outlined on these maps, and are continually improved and renewed to stay current with industry trends, technology and demands. The alliance enhances this value by making the training available on a more convenient and frequent basis across the globe.
