Training Advisor

Reporting to the Vice President of Global Business Development, the Training Advisor is responsible for creating and growing new business for the PetroAcademy Blended service line in all regions. The role proactively creates the demand for online/virtual training solutions, builds a pipeline of qualified prospects, closes opportunities and manages forecasts to achieve a specified individual sales target. This position requires a high degree of self-direction, the ability to set priorities and achieve results.

 


LOCATION: Katy, TX

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • - Qualify and prioritize incoming sales opportunities on a proactive basis that results in achieving assigned annual sales targets as agreed between the Vice President and Business Development Manager

  • - Progress towards achievement of sales targets monthly and quarterly

  • - Manage customer relationships, based on the agreed-upon sales process, through contract execution and establishing basis for continued business

  • - Create demand for PetroAcademy, by proactively building a pipeline of qualified customer initiatives based on targeted segments

  • - Develop new customers, through establishing relationships with technical and business contacts to develop solutions for current and future training requirements

  • - Manage sales opportunities within PetroSkills identified risk management framework

  • - Represent PetroSkills as the primary contact for assigned sales opportunities

  • - Actively build and maintain a sales management tool (Salesforce)

  • - Strong leadership and presentation abilities to executive level personnel

  • - Ability to sell comprehensive and sophisticated energy sector online training services and products at a senior and executive management level

  • - Strong interpersonal and communication skills including negotiation and mediation

  • - Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • - Commitment to fully leverage PetroSkills ability to provide training solutions to the benefit of our members customers

  • - Knowledge of the energy sector and the products and services of PetroSkills

 

  • EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

  • - A baccalaureate (Bachelor) degree in a business management discipline, human resources or a petroleum engineering or related degree
    - Minimum 7 years’ experience in the oil sector and or training industry
    - Prior experience in sales and/or learning & development is a plus

    Occasionally may lift between 5-25 pounds.
