Chesapeake Energy Joins PetroSkills Alliance
We are excited to welcome Chesapeake Energy Corporation to the PetroSkills Alliance!
As a member of the alliance, Chesapeake Energy joins leaders from across the industry in approving, advising, and developing PetroSkills’ training courses and competency framework. Alliance members enjoy access to benchmark Competency Maps for each discipline across the value chain, as well as membership pricing for in-house, virtual/blended and public training sessions.
Chesapeake Energy is a petroleum and natural gas exploration and production company focused on unconventional reservoirs and natural gas assets in top U.S. plays. The company is headquartered in Oklahoma City but operates across the country in six different states.
Chesapeake’s Scott Blomgren, Manager of OS Field and Petrotech Development stated, “Chesapeake Energy is excited to be an Alliance Member. We are looking forward to contributing to the Alliance Membership’s focus of developing petroleum professionals in our rapidly changing industry.”
Ron Hinn, Executive Vice President of PetroSkills was integral in the partnership agreement and had this to say:
“PetroSkills is pleased to further expand its relationship with Chesapeake Energy through Alliance Membership. We truly value the opportunity to support the Chesapeake team in their varied efforts to continually enhance technical workforce capability.”
The PetroSkills Alliance was founded in 2001 by Shell, BP and OGCI, to provide industry-standard “important but not unique” competency-based training. Since then it has evolved into an industry-driven, industry-approved program that spans the industry. Today, with over 30 members representing more than 40% of the world’s oil production, the PetroSkills Alliance is focused on meeting the challenges of the Big Crew Change and a rapidly changing hydrocarbon resource base. As the oil and gas Industry’s partner, our mission is to deliver consistent, high quality, learning and development training and programs to build competent petroleum professionals.
