Plains All American Pipeline becomes 30th Alliance Member
We are excited to welcome Plains All American Pipeline L.P. as the newest member of the PetroSkills Alliance. Plains All American Pipeline functions in midstream energy infrastructure and provides logistic services for oil and gas products. Plains was founded in 1981 as an oil and gas production company, and since then has transformed itself into a major midstream competitor through strategic shifts, acquisitions and expansion. Today, it is one of the largest midstream energy companies in America.
Executive Vice President of PetroSkills Ron Hinn, was integral in the partnership agreement and had this to say.
“Our engagement with Plains All American Pipeline extends across various efforts spanning two years. To have Plains join as our newest midstream Alliance member is a true compliment. We value their trust in PetroSkills and look forward to collaborating on future organizational capability initiatives.”
As a member of the alliance, Plains All American Pipeline will be a part of a group of industry leaders advising on and developing future training offerings. The company will also enjoy access to the eLearning library, Compass® competency management, competency framework and PetroCore products. Members enjoy membership prices for in-house, virtual/blended and public training sessions.
The PetroSkills Alliance was founded in 2001 by Shell, BP and OGCI, to provide “important but not unique” competency based training. Since then it has evolved into an industry-driven, industry-approved program that spans the industry. Today, with 30 members representing more than 40% of the world’s oil production, the PetroSkills Alliance is focused on meeting the challenges of the Big Crew Change and a rapidly changing hydrocarbon resource base. As the oil and gas Industry’s partner, our mission is to deliver consistent, high quality, learning and development training and programs to build competent petroleum professionals.
