Get to Know Bill Finch

Q: What is your most rewarding career experience?

A: My first assignment as a front line Operations Supervisor, starting up a new 600 MMSCFD cryo plant and deep water multiphase gas gathering system in south Louisiana.

Q: Where is the most interesting place you have worked?

A: By a large margin, the most interesting place I have worked is Fort McMurray, in Alberta, Canada where the plant takes dirt as feed from the mine and spits out 300,000 barrels a day of dry bitumen (heavy oil).  The unique equipment and scale of the Oil Sands make it a fascinating place to work.

Q: What activities or hobbies do you enjoy doing in your free time?

A: I was raised in Montana, so all things outdoors is where I spend my free time - hunting, fishing, backpacking, skiing and these spill over into related hobbies. I also do leather and woodwork.

Finch will be instructing the following courses:

► OIL AND GAS PROCESSING FACILITIES FOR OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE  (OT-1)
