Achieve Chartered Membership of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (CMIOSH) by flexible, distance learning. IOSH is the world's largest health and safety professional membership organization, and its qualifications are recognized globally.
This is a mentored program typically lasting 12-18 months. Every participant has a personal adviser who works with them on a one-to-one basis. Our support is tailored to meet your needs. MS. KERRY EDWARDS is a lead instructor for the PetroSkills Health classes, with over 20 years' HSE experience. She is a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner and a Member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management. Ms. Edward's prior career was spent in paramedic nursing, specializing in intensive care and major trauma. In 1992, she joined an international manufacturing group as Health and Safety Manager. In 1997, she was awarded a Recognition Award for her achievements. After five years, she moved into accident research and investigation, where she used her biomechanics and medical knowledge to aid research into vehicle safety and future vehicle design. She presented her research into Pedestrian Biomechanics and Lower Limb Injury Inter-relationships at the IRCOBI Conference in Barcelona in 1999. Ms. Edwards was awarded BSc in Occupational Health and Safety by Wolverhampton University and Birmingham University Medical Institute. Latterly, she has worked as an OH&S consultant and accredited trainer with Corporate Risk Systems Limited. She has worked with PetroSkills members in Europe and the USA. She is a Lead Auditor for OSHAS 18001, a NEBOSH instructor and examiner, as well as providing vocational mentoring and assessment to individual professionals.
MAJOR MARTYN GRANT is an experienced health, safety and environment subject matter expert with a history of military service in both the Royal Marines and Royal Electrical Mechanical Engineers. During his service, he was promoted to Warrant Officer Class 1 and then received the Queen's commission, retiring as a Major. On leaving the military, he worked for two police forces as their Health, Safety and Environment Manager. Since 2013, he has been Head of Distance Learning at Corporate Risk Systems Limited, where he is the Course Director for PetroSkills Accredited Health and Safety (HS70) and Accredited Environmental (HS71) Practitioner mentored, distance learning programs. Martyn is a Chartered Fellow of IOSH (CFIOSH), and an Associate of IEMA (AIEMA). He is experienced in all aspects of people management especially mentoring, training design, development and delivery.
