Drilling Optimization Operations – Well Site Supervisor

About

This course is part of the Track 1: Well Site Supervisor Development Program. Well Site Supervisor Development Program - Track 1. With full awareness of the details covered in Onsite Fluids Management, Casing and Cementing Operations, and Directional/Horizontal Drilling Operations units, this Drilling Optimization unit focuses on the final design check functionality for the entire system, especially bits, hydraulics, drill string design and optimization of “time off bottom.”  The concepts of physics-based drilling are introduced and focused on living with the “as is” rig capacity and “as is conditions” to optimize during implementation.  The difference between optimization for the beginning of the hole interval vs the end of the hole interval is examined in the design check, particularly considering “unplanned events.” A total of 30 hours are included in this course with 6 hrs eLearning and 24 hrs virtual instructor-led sessions.
